Hello!
I hope this finds you well. I wish to reach out with the intention of providing some reassurance as well as knowledge in regards to what I am doing related to the Coronavirus pandemic.
In order to follow the current CDC and Allegheny County guidelines to curb the spread of the Coronavirus, as of March 16th 2020, I will not be available for face-to-face sessions for an indefinite time. I am offering telehealth (online therapy) as an alternative to face-to-face sessions.
Telehealth is very easy to use via my HIPAA-compliant platform, iCouch. I would send you a link through email. You can use your phone, tablet, computer, etc for the session. Please make sure you have a space private enough to conduct a therapy session as well as having your device still and secured on a table or desk, and have a secure and reliable internet connection.
I appreciate your willingness to be part of a concerted and collaborative effort to maintain everyone’s safety. As someone who is relatively young and has no underlying health conditions, I am focused on being part a community effort to prevent the spread of this virus. I believe we can all work together to protect those more vulnerable.
I want to be clear that I am planning on remaining open and available to you for therapy remotely. During this scary and uncertain time, it is my intention to work to create an environment that feels safe for everyone in every way I am able.
If you have any questions or concerns about actions I am taking in regards to COVID-19, please let me know and I will be happy to speak with you further about this.
Otherwise, stay well and I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
Warmly,
Lynn
